Who we are

Lighthouse Capital is an operational private equity firm based in Johannesburg, with an office in Nairobi. Led by partners Anthony Muraya, Nico Christoforou and Edwin Mbugua, we invest in established, profitable mid-market businesses in South Africa and Kenya.

How we work

For us, investing is only the start. After we invest, we work alongside management on operations, systems, people and growth, so the business becomes stronger, more valuable and ready for its next chapter. Every fund writes a cheque. We show up the next day.

Criteria

What we look for

Established, profitable businesses trading for 5 years or more
EBITDA of $500K to $1M
Operating in South Africa or Kenya
Investments of $5M to $10M per company
Founders and management teams who want a hands-on partner

What we don't fund

We don't invest in startups, businesses trading for less than five years, pre-revenue or loss-making businesses, or companies operating outside South Africa and Kenya.
